Proudly Supporting your Hospital

In 2012 on the opening of the new Tunbridge Wells Hospital, the Leagues of Friends of both Pembury and Kent and Sussex hospitals joined forces to become The League of Friends of Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

Over the years the two Leagues have raised millions of pounds for the hospitals and the most major contribution to date has been to provide the television sets in all the patient rooms in the new hospital at a cost of £340,000. Needless to say, these have proved to be extremely popular with patients, particularly those on a longer stay.

In  order to comply with the terms of the  General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that came into effect on 25th May we are currently in the process of contacting all our members either by mail or email to send them a copy of our Privacy Policy for their information.  A copy of our Privacy Policy is also on this website - READ HERE.

The table sales that are held on the fourth Friday of the month  in the main entrance to the hospital continue to be extremely popular.  They regularly contribute over £400 a time to our funds as well as raising the profile of the League. Council member Francis Grimes is the organiser, assisted by a loyal band of helpers.

Diana Barber's annual coffee morning took place again in November  and fears of road closures affecting visitors numbers proved unfounded.  More people than ever turned up and a total of over £4,500 was raised. Our thanks to Diana and all her helpers for another great year.

The 2018 raffle has been more successful than ever, raising nearly £4000 thanks to the support from the public and the commitment of the organisers.  A big thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy to make this such a wonderful result and to those who so generously donated prizes.
